The Gender Support Network is a peer-lead transgender support group in Chilliwack, BC, providing a safe, supportive environment for trans identifying people of all ages and their families.

The GSN meets bi-weekly, every second Tuesday, between 6:30 pm and 8 pm at the Sto:lo Service Agency in Chilliwack, 7201 Vedder Rd, Building #7, Chilliwack, BC

The GSN provides a safe, supportive environment where transgender / gender queer / gender fluid and/or gender curious and questioning identified people of all ages and backgrounds, as well as their families, partners and support group can come together and share what’s going on in their lives. Participants talk, listen, support each other, laugh and cry together. They can be themselves fully and openly without fear of judgments.

Meetings include activities, food, drinks and social events.

The GSN is brought to you by the Chilliwack Gender Care Committee with support from the Government of BC and the Sto:lo Nation. The Chilliwack Gender Care Committee is comprised of transgender individuals, a parent of two lgbtq children, and various service providers in the medical and mental health field. The committee is committed to promoting and providing trans competent, gender-affirming services in our community.

Their mission focuses on three goals:

1) Developing pathways of healthcare (medical and emotional wellbeing)

2) Developing support services (The Chilliwack Gender Support Network!)

3) Raising public education and awareness around trans health, human rights, and the inclusion and acceptance of people of all trans identities.
