The Golden Family Center is a not-for-profit, community based organization that offers a broad range of counselling and support services to families and children, including: family & individual counselling for parents and their families; parenting support services; child & youth support services; infant development support services for special needs children; abuse recovery programming for women and children, substance use programming for youth and adults, and one day a week of drop-in counselling for adults.

Please note that Golden Family Centre offers a wide range of free and/or low-cost counselling services and other supports. Please note that some staff members may be better suited to provide 2S/LGBTQ+ affirming support than others. If this is a requirement for you, please contact the organization directly for more information about the specific services that you would like to access.

It all depends on the counsellor and the program. All counsellors have worked with clients with disabilities at times, but may only have experience with clients with certain disabilities.
